You mentioned possibly switching to 18" rims. That will not give you any more clearance than would 35's on 20's, offset and tire height being equal.If you want 35's you'll need a minimum of a 3" leveling kit and depending on the width of tire you choose you'll also need the perfect offset somewhere between +20 and +35mm. Even then you will probably rub a little on the front fenderwell liner and on the body mount. if you don't want to do any cutting stick with a 3" kit and 34.5" and smaller.You do not need gears. 4.88 with 35s means a shorter final drive ratio than stock. 4.88 with 37s means a longer final drive ration than stock. Its really just personal preference. You shouldnt consider gears unless you are considering 37" tires.
